Bakeries are abound throughout Siena, offering a variety of traditional Sienese specialties including Panforte (a type of cake from flour and honey) as well as Ricciarelli (almond paste cakes). These should definitely not be missed! Tuscan cuisine itself can be found throughout the city, as can gelato which is offered in most restaurants and outlets.
